Pipes and Pints - Raise our Flag [Official Music Video] (CELTIC PUNK)

"Raise our Flag" by Pipes and Pints Video by Rolla Productions.

Peace all, hope the weekend is treating you well. I'm thinking of doing a random Crimson Bones Thrash Radio show next weekend alongside or as part of The Wastelands. Until I'm 100% to reschedule interviews, the music shows are an ideal way to work my way back into radio shows. It has been a while since Captain Midnight Mosh sailed the high seas. Details next week.

Crimson Bones Thrash Archives:

Configa - Mind Control [UK Remix] (ft. Genesis Elijah, Silas Zephania and HaStyle) (REAL HIP HOP/UNDERGROUND HIP HOP/BOOM BAP)

Configa just dropped a preview track/video track, which is from the forth coming album 'Configaration Volume 1' out on SLAMJamz records on November 21st.

The track is fire and it grabbed me instantly. This is why on The Wastelands I'll play real hip hop when able. It needs to be heard and reach a wider audience than just the underground hip hop scene.

Press release from Configa:
Preview song/video taken from Configa's forthcoming album 'Configaration Volume 1' (#CV1) released on SLAMJamz records on November 21st, 2017. Music Produced by Configa @Configa Music Mixed/Mastered by Earl Blaize Video Shot by Nick Light and Escape Route Media Video Edited by Nick Light.

Interview  with  Razgate  done  by  Patrick posted on 11-17-17

Interview  with  Razgate  done  by  Patrick

1.Hello  when  did you first  get the idea to  start  this  band? And  what is the  current line-up  for the band?

Giacomo Burgassi:  Well, you know? When you play something, you need a band! So it happened naturally!  The current line-up is: Edoardo Natalini on the drums, Niccolò Olivieri on the bass, Francesco Monaci on the lead guitar and, of course, me on the vocals and rhythm guitar.

2.Who  would you  say  are  Razgate's  biggest  influences?

Giacomo Burgassi:  we have a lot of influences: from thrash metal to rock’n’roll! I and Edoardo write songs for the band and we love many bands, you can hear our background in every riff.

3.Feral Evolution is Razgate's debut  full length which  is  being released through Sliptrick Rec. how  did you  and the band come in  contact  with this  label?

Giacomo Burgassi:  I was looking for the right label on the net and I saw Sliptrick Rec.. From the first interaction I knew that this label was the best choice for us.

4.Who   usually handles  writing the music for the band?  does the whole band take part or does one member usually  write everything?

Giacomo Burgassi:  I write thousand riffs! With Edoardo, we choose the best ones and we write the structure of song. Then the other members add things to this, but all the material are from jams together.

5.Who  handles writing the lyrics  for the music  what  are some subjects you all wrote about  on  Feral Evolution?

Giacomo Burgassi:  I write the lyrics and the main theme of Feral Evolution is control. Control that society, mass media or simply people have on other people. This is so important to me, especially in times like these. This kind of control is evil for everybody, probably the main reason of madness and violence in the world.

6.Besides  the  debut  release does the  band  have any other  merchandise  available  for the  readers? If yes what  is avaailible and where can the readers  buy it?

Giacomo Burgassi:  we have many things, Edoardo is fucking amazing on doing graphics and illustrations! You can contact us on Facebook or on e-mail but you better can come to see us live!

7.What  have  been  some  of  Razgate most memorable  shows  over the  years? And  who  are some bands you  have  shared the  stage  with?

Giacomo Burgassi:  we really like the mosh pit! Yeah! Wherever we can see it, we are at our best show! There are some great bands we shared the stage with but I want to send my greetings to our friends Vexovoid, Injury, Disboskator: they’re great bands and great people! See you soon on stage mothefuckers!

8.Are their any tours or  shows  coming up in  support  of  Feral Evolution  if yes  where  will  the  band  be  playing?

Giacomo Burgassi:  yeah! We have some shows coming up! check out our Facebook page to see where we will play!

9.Besides  thrash metal  do you or  any of the members  listen to  any other  forms of underground metal  or  music in general? Who  are  some of your  favorite bands  and  artists?

Giacomo Burgassi:  I grew up with classic rock (AC/DC rules!) usually I like to listen to a lot of doom metal and classic heavy (Judas Priest, Accept, Cathedral, Pentagram, of course Black Sabbath and Mercyful Fate, Venom).  But I really love Pink Floyd, Elton John: not exactly what you expected, is it?

10.I  know  Italy  has a  strong death, black metal  scene  but  what  is  the  thrash  metal  scene like  in  Italy?

Giacomo Burgassi:  Alive! There are bands really great but it’s hard to find right places where you can listen to them live!

11.Who  are your  all-time favorite  Italian  bands  and  are  their  any  new  bands  you  feel the  readers  should   check out?

Giacomo Burgassi:   My favorites are Sabotage, Strana Officina, Necrodeath or Death SS. If you want something new, check out bands I said before!

12.Besides music  we  are  huge movie  fans  here  do you  like to watch  a lot of  movies? If  yes do you  have  a favorite  genre?

Giacomo Burgassi:    I’m a huge movie fan too! I love horror and thriller!

13.Who  are  some of your  all-time  favorite actresses  and  actors? Are their  any  directors you  enjoy watching?

Giacomo Burgassi:   Absolutely Quentin Tarantino and Kubrick along with Scorsese and Wes Craven. As actors I have no favorites, I like the characters in different movies.

14.Thank you  for  taking the time to  do  this  interview  do you  have  any  final  comments  for  the  readers?

Giacomo Burgassi:   Thank you, man! Keep on thrashing!

The Wastelands airs tomorrow afternoon (UK)/late morning (US, EST). This week's episode is heavily dominated with new promos, so please hit me up asap if you want to be featured. Full details posted tomorrow when the show starts.

Full info on genres featured on The Wastelands can be read here:

Sunday, 12 November 2017

Recently I opened up The Wastelands to feature an even wider range of music. It has always strived to play a multitude of genres, which it has from both clean and extreme ends of the underground, but I wanted to go even further.

I'm always eager and open to discover new genres of music, especially underground music, and hear styles I've never heard before. It is impossible not to sleep on some genres and scenes, especially when you are already spread thin. My main focus is metal, punk, and underground hip hop, but that doesn't mean I don't like any other music.

In an effort to bring everything together, and hopefully promote independent and underground music as one community, The Wastelands Radio Show is now open to the following genres:

The Wastelands Radio Submissions Page:

Punk/HC Genres: HC, HC Punk, Crust, D-Beat, Grindcore, Celtic Punk, Ska Punk, Straight Edge HC, Crust Grind, Metallic Crust, Fastcore/PV, Anarcho Punk, Beatdown, Metallic HC, NYHC, Stench, Crossover, Horror Punk, Underground Punk Rock.

Metal Punk: Punk based metal is also fine to featured such as Metal Punk, Punk Based Old School DM, Death Punk, and Death Crust.

Metal: Death Metal, Brutal DM, Slam, Death Grind, Old School DM, Thrash, Doom, Desert Rock, Sludge, Stoner Rock, Metal, Modern Metal, Traditional Heavy Metal, Underground Hard Rock.

Blues & Dark Country: Underground Blues, Blues Rock, Blues Metal, Dark Country, Gothic Country. Stuff that's got soul, good acoustic strings, guitars, and rawness/grit in the vocals.
Underground Hip Hop: Real Hip Hop only such as boom bap, conscious hip hop, hc hip hop.

If I think something can be flowed into the show, then I'm open to it. I'm always interested in new music and new underground music genres or styles I haven't heard before. So please ask if you are unsure whether your music can be featured.

Interview  with   Under  The  Church   done  by  Patrick posted on 11-8-17

Interview  with  Erik  guitarist, drums  of  Under  The  Church   done  by  Patrick

1.Hello  Erik  how are  things  going  in Sweden  this  week? Please introduce   yourself  to the  readers?

hey there, Erik here! I play drums and sometimes guitar.

2.At  what  age  did you  first  start  listening to  death metal and metal in  general? And  who  were  the  first bands  you  listened to?

I got three Kiss vinyl records for my 10th birthday, Love Gun, RocknRoll Over and Destroyer...that’s how things started.

3.Erik you  take care of  the  guitars  for the band at  what age were you when you first  started playing? Are  you self taught  or did you  have lessons  when first  starting out?

I didn’t take any lessons on guitar, Instead I picked out tunes, like learning how to play the album “Restless and wild” by Accept.

4.Who would you  say  are  some of your  biggest influences and favorite  guitarists?

Chuck Berry, Wolf Hoffman, Hound Dog Taylor, KK Downing

5.Besides  the  guitars  you also  play the  drums  when  did you first  start playing the  drums?

Around the same time that I got those three Kiss vinyls, I was very lucky to have a older brother with an flawless record collection and a drumset that he didn’t play often.

6.Who would you say  are your  favorite  drummers?Besides the drums and guitars  do you currently  play  any other  instruments?

Art Blakey, Chris Reifert, Sunny Murray, Dave Grave, Phil Rudd, Philly Joe, Peter Criss.Sometimes I play piano.

7.When  did you  first meet  Lars H.{bassist} and  was it long  before you  two  formed  Under  The  Church?

I think i’ve known Lars since we where 8 years old or something like that...we used to play icehockey together but then later we started playing in bands. We started UTC around 2013.

8.Who  would you  say  are  Under  The  Church's biggest  influences?

Sadus, Venom, Death, Accept, Autopsy, Judas Priest, Celtic Frost,

9.Supernatural  Punishment  is the bands  newest release  how long  did it  take you  two  to  write  the music  for the new release?

It didn’t take that long time, we’ve been more or less in constant writing mode since the demo came out...some events this summer put things on hold for a while but we’re back on track now

10.Besides  the new  release  Supernatural  Punishment  are any of the bands previous releases  still available?Besides physical releases  does the band  have  any other merchandise available if  yes what  is  available  and  where  can the readers  buy  it?

We have a couple of releases out since before, an Ep and a full length, check out Pulverised Records bandcamp page for our physical and digital releases as well as merchandise.

11.I know you  have some  session members to  play live  shows with would you and  Lars  like to  add more members to make a  full line-up?

Actually we are now have a full lineup of the band, klacke and Wallin on guitars and Sahlström on vocals.

12.What  have  been  some  of  Under  The  Church's most  memorable  shows  over the   years?

the release gig for “rabid armageddon” was memorable since it also was the first ever show we played.

13.Are their  any tours or  shows coming up in  support  of  Supernatural  Punishment  if yes  where  will the  band  be  playing?

There’s nothing planned at the moment but hopefully we’ll be able to do some proper touring and festivals next year.

14.Besides  death metal  do you listen to  any  other  forms of  underground music? If  yes  what  genres  and  who  are some of your  favorite  bands?

I listen to alot of very different genres and styles of music, I wouldn’t necessaraly call it underground but it can be anything from Selim Sesler, Tim Berne to Nick Lowe...I don’t have a favourite band per se, but some bands have a stronger place in my musical upbringing than others.

15.Other  then  music we are huge  movie  fans here  do you  like to watch  a lot  movies? What  are   some of your  all-time  favorite  movies?

The adventures of Ford Fairlane, Big trouble in little china, Escape from New York to name but a few.

16.Who  are  some  of your  favorite  actresses  and  actors? Are their  any  directors  you  like  to watch?

I like David Lynch alot but haven’t had the guts to watch the new serie of Twin Peaks.

17.Thank you  for  taking the  time to  fill  this  interview  out  do you  have  any  final  words   for the  readers?

thanks for having us, go out to see as much live music as you can while it’s still possible to do so, and support artists by buying their releases.

"People seemed to respond positively to the song Temple's Temple from the album, so we decided to shoot a video for it. The song is about going into battle in ancient times, and wondering what it must have been like to face up against berserkers or giant Vikings who believed they'd feast in eternity in the hallowed halls of Valhalla. Basically the thought of just shitting yourself seeing these maniacal giants coming at you with axes and massive swords. With that in mind I wanted to superimpose ancient visual depictions of battle over the band while we were miming along to the song, surrounded by a now-compulsory ludicrous wall of amps." - King Zog

Emblazoned with the fiendish red artwork of Dominic Sohor, King Zog’s debut album is an  instant doom classic – a volcanic apocalypse  of deep, heavy fuzz and colossal Iommic riffs.  From the droning discordance of opening rime  Lost At Sea, through to the triumphant finale Season In Hell, the album unveils tsunamic waves  of hook after hook, captured in all their sonic glory by producer Ken Watt. Each song along the journey comes with a mammoth chorus, searing itself into the brain... Hexagram, Look Who’s Torkan, Temple’s Temple... hugely, brutally melodic. Bong-friendly tempos abound on Man-sized Rotisserie, Fuck Island and the punishing Liz Business – setting the stage for the third act of Bitter Wisdom and Witchsmoker. Resplendent in all the essential refinements of lore, iconography and riffery, the album is a most sincere offering to the gods of metal.

Born where the Indian Ocean collides with the parched deserts of Western Australia, King Zog  is the dream project of lifelong friends, now writing partners, Daniel Durack (vocals/guitar) and  Vince Radice (lead guitar). Finalising their personnel with the incredible rhythm section  of Martin Gonzalez (bass) and Rory Keys (drums), together they have fastidiously created a monster – an honorific metal opus of crushingly heavy guitars, mesmerising beats and powerful, clean vocals. The release of King Zog’s debut has been met  with enthusiasm by fans around the world, opening up opportunities for the band to tour. First and foremost a live band, the road beckons King Zog, who plan to take their music to the devoted – wherever they may be.

The next episode of The Wastelands airs next weekend with a variety show running across metal, punk, and underground hip hop. However, I'm opening the show up further to evolve and grow much more. Its a concept carried forth with Ancient Visionz Talk Radio, which ok is a different format and category altogether, but the openness with music and guests has been very well received.
However, I'm realising to continue forward and expand The Wastelands further, I need to add in some genres/promos that I don't normally cover, which means some of the more known artists/bands/genres.

There is a limit, and the show retains the underground feel, but it is now open  to other promos and genres that I receive, which helps give it a mixed variety from both extreme mosh to clean vocaled/regular straight up sounds as well.

The Wastelands is going to air twice a month on the 2nd and last weekend, which gives me considerable time to prepare the play list and flow it together. It can also run alongside Ancient Visionz Talk Radio, which shall soon reschedule guests when I've recovered from a stomach bug.

The Wastelands Submissions Page:

There were a few technical errors with the podcast's recording, so below is the play list only, and not the podcast. Episode 3 airs next weekend with a multi genre show ranging across metal, punk, and underground hip hop. More about that in the next post and how I plan to integrate the various promos I'm sent for the show.
